When flashed installations are required, such as on tile roofs, use standoffs. Two-piece aluminum standoffs allow for precise flashing positioning over a protected base before the standoff is mounted. There are four common heights for standoffs: 3, 4, 6, and 7 inches. There are appropriate flashings open.

SunFrame, SolarMount regular, or SolarMount HD rails are all compatible. 2 lag screws are used to secure the lag screws to the rafter. With standoff hardware, secure L-foot or installer-supplied strut directly to the standoff. Installing over a tile roof is particularly useful since the flashing can be precisely fitted over the protected base before the shaft is mounted.
